The Magocracy, also referred to as the Mage's Hegemony, is a unique nation-state that currently holds their headquarters in the Great Kingdom of Galan. Headquartered primarily within the Augurers' Tower, the rest of their territory consists of 'experimentation grounds', where new advances in the field of magic can be made under close supervision. The Magocracy itself is a massive organization that attempts to regulate all

augurers in the known world, keeping them under close watch and making sure that they not cause massive damage to both the physical world and the metaphysical in their exploits. They also specialize in the collection of Grimoires, with their specialized Grimoire Hunters being sent out either solo or in teams in order to hunt them down before accidental new augurers can be created through them. They are ruled over by the Three Great Arch-Mages, a title granted to those whose magic bypasses even the rules of the art themselves, and the rules are futher debated and enforced by the Elders, augurers who still hold tremendous power and knowledge when compared to the average wizard. The organization is also in charge of assigning apprentice augerers their Masters, and later on, making them full-fledged magic users themselves. They act as their own massive political organization, making treaties with other nations and such bodies in order to retain their independence, and accept jobs and various requests from other kingdoms and lands in order to maintain their treasury.

There is a near-constant political debate going on within its walls, mostly regarding the current restriction of magic and if it should be rendered a more free art, open to all.
